In July 2016, the presentation of the first complete collection of useful items (in the Interior category) by Krokos Art took place.
Complete collections of products in the following product categories:
- Table lamps
- Small and large wall clocks
- Luxury small table
- Candlestick
The philosophy and approach of the project is summarized in a few words in the text below:
“Hundreds of different materials, each one with its own use and functionality, help form and define important everyday needs.
Observing their shape and exploring their nature as materials (process, texture, structure) you evaluate their possibilities and dynamic with a different eye.
You don’t compromise and redefine, design and compose their dissimilarity, using their differences to create a new piece of industrial design.
With references to wood and metal you create handmade objects of interior.
The uniqueness of materials leads to pieces, which are constructed only once.”

The Philosophy:
Our main target: rendering high specifications and quality at has a every working level.
This is part of a very important plan concerning the promotion and reinforcement of every product’s value.
Based on a continuous development of the production, packing up and distribution, we have a human-caring perception about responsibility, professionalism and credibility, regarding all of its services.

Which is our objective target:
We want to create luxurious objects of high quality, choose the best raw materials, and always offer a priceless value to each object.
We want to escape usual things, totally diversify ourselves, and suggest fresh ideas which are unconventional, unique, special and effective.

Our basic lines when we design an item:
We want an imposing and functionally plain project, which is independent, has a unique and special identity, and a clean, simple and impressive image.
Ergonomy and functionality must be carefully observed so that they keep up with each object’s good taste.
In order to succeed our objective goals:
Our effort focuses on 5 basic parameters:
- Identity and image
- Design and good taste
- Form, shape and functionality
- Raw materials, miscellaneous materials and specifications
- Overall cost estimate
- Electrical stuff and safety specifications (as it concerns lights).

Which is our view on the cost when we design and construct an item?
As it concerns our quantity bills, we knew from the start they would be high-as a result this is transferred to the prices of our products.
- High quality of materials.
- Handmade constructions which means more working hours – high cost of side materials which substantially decrease the working time of a product, because of their high quality. Better working result which maximises each product’s specifications.
- Electric materials of high quality which increase each product’s lifetime.
- Elaboration of the product with metallic colours (car industry) of high endurance and quality. Double costs with regard to conventional colours.

The process of a handmade object
At all stages of the object’s construction,small and medium-sized professional tools are used.
After the object is designed the first process of wood and metal working begins, so the object takes its first form.
At this stage all the above also happen:
- Subtraction and working of the electrological parts(for a light).
- Subtraction and working of the rolling mechanisms(for a wall or table clock).
- Subtraction and working of statics(for a luxury table).
- Subtraction and working of each object’s bases of support and connection.
When the material takes its final form the second working process begins, which is the surfaces’ finish:
- Working of the surface by air rubbing with 3 different sizes(hardness).
- Stocking of the surface(to clear flaws of the material during cutting)usually by 2 different types(metallic or transparent stucco).
- Air-rubbing the surface again with 2 different sizes.
- Final rubbing process which is done by hands, also with 2 different types of material.
During the metal’s working these actions also happen:
- Plasma-cutting of the metal
- Working of the cutting’s finish (of the surface).
- Joining the metal together
- Working of the finish of the joining
- Finishing the surface of the metal before dying
Concerning the lightings, all electrological parts are connected and tested, according to European safety rules(CE) for the right and safe function of the product.
Final finish before dying:
Because of the fact that all objects are dyed with metallic car colours, a specific stage of working and checking of the surface is demanded. So that the final result before dying meets the requirements 100%.Any miss or carelessness will be transferred on the surface(that is to say on the colour), which is repaired but the object must be dyed again, otherwise the whole process of dying must start from the beginning. Third stage concerns colouring of the object and at last dying it with a high-endurance polisher (metallic).
Stage 4 is the connection of all other dyed parts of the object, so the object takes its final form according to the initial design. The electrological equipment is connected to the lights, all mechanisms are connected to the clocks.
Stage 5 concerns packaging of the product: Wooden boxes of high-endurance are constructed so our products reach safely their destination.
The process of designing and constructing a product has a 15 to 25 days duration (according to the type and the demands).
